Team Two missions

Sonja spoke through the wall to Arxon.

"There are no injured, I will move through the tunnel to find a way to rejoin you." Sonja sounded somewhat concerned for once. This was because Vyvyan was with her so she was risking someone else's life as well as her own based on her intuition.

Xerxes stands with Arxon and sighs and thinks to himself, "She's jeopardizing the mission..." He gets ready to battle.

Clover kneeled into a pose preparing for battle, giggling. "BRING IT ON!!!"

Sonja overheard what the others said but she didn't care what they thought of her. She was no longer concerned with what was down this tunnel but with returning Vyvyan to the group. Risking her own life for intuition was one thing but she did not want to put Vyvyan in danger. She looked around the general area to see if there were any paths back to the other tunnel but was unable to find any.

"Can you handle yourself?" she asked coldly, but with a slight concerned ascent. "We need to regroup, there should be a path down the way that will lead us back. You can either stay here or come with me, your choice." Sonja still seemed very distant even when she was genuinely worried about Vyvyan.

Sonja then turned her attention to Arxon.

"I will move down the tunnel and find a path that will connect to yours, continue down the tunnel until you find a lit path and wait for us there. If you cannot find one continue with the mission as planned then return here when it is finished," her voice may be difficult to hear through the ruins of the collapse.

He nodded at Xerxes. He was just as frustrated that they had decided to wander off from the group, but it was still his responsibility to get them back. He wasn't about to lose almost half the group within the first few minutes of their first mission. "I know, but...let's get them back with the group so we can continue." He glanced at Clover. "And...try to stay calm."

"Move slow. Tell us everything you see. One step at a time so we stay together, alright?" He moved a bit closer to the wall so he could hear better. He tried to feel for weak spots where the rocks might be able to budge and fall through. "Stay together!"

When clover was in the fighting position that dark voice laughed again but disappeared shortly after. As Arxon felt along the rocks he would realize that this could not have been a natural cave in, there was no true weak points in the wall of rock. Certain areas proved to feel a bit loser but just as thick. This was done by an intelligence at least close to human. He could use a good amount of time and effort to dig through the wall of rock and dirt and risk being in the caves longer than he needed to be, or he could move forward and hopefully meet them again farther down the tunnel.

A feeling would be constantly nagging at Vyvyan to go down this tunnel, see what is on the other end. She may begin to think that because the mission was just a artifact run she wouldn't be really needed, as a reader he specialty in this situation would be deciphering the Novian language. Whatever was down this tunnel was giving off this bright white light and was definitely novian, she could feel it.

Sonja would see hear their voices echo of the tunnel walls, but because of the way the tunnel turned down where the light was emanating, it suggested it turned back to the other tunnel eventually.

As much as Arxon didn't want to separate, he knew that the mission needed to continue. They went down the tunnel of their own accord - it was ultimately their responsibility to get out.

"Keep moving. Look for weak points where we might break through, or into a turn...they have to connect somewhere. Stay with me, alright? Keep talking, ladies. Keep talking."

He exerted a small amount of telekinetic energy into some of the loose rocks. He wanted to see if he could maybe dislodge even a few of them, and make a small gap in the wall where they could hear and see each other better. If it wouldn't work, he would give up and keep moving instead of exhausting himself...but he thought it would at least be worth a shot.

His telekinesis would make small hole in one of the least dense areas of rock in the collapsed wall of rubble. He would be atleast able to talk to them without straining to hear now, but the best course of action would probably be to move on. With this one hole in the wall he could now see just how thick it was, it would take forever to break them out of it.

Although it wasn't much, it was still a bit of help. He lowered his voice a bit now.

"We don't have time to bust down the walls. We'll keep moving. Keep talking," he repeated. "Nobody split up. Stay close."

He tried to make sure that what was left of the formation was still being held. As frustrating as it was, they had to keep moving and get this over with...sooner, rather than later. They would find a way to meet up soon, he told himself - he wasn't going to lose any of his team yet.

Sonja moved with him, although his slow speed made little time in comparison to what she could do on her own.

"We are moving with you. . . . there is something ahead of us. . . ." Her speech would be somewhat distorted, causing long pauses in dialog. She watched carefully for anything tunnels that might lead back to them. "Although I could make twice this time on my own," she thought to herself.

Vyvyan followed along, lost in her thoughts. She continued at Sonja's pace "What do you suppose is down there?"

Sonja hesitated a moment before talking.

"There is something potentially dangerous further down this tunnel, it may be deadly."

As he walks along with Arxon, Xerxes has his sword close to him, in case anything gets messy... Something fishy is going on here and he knows it.

As Arxon and his team continued down the right, but very dark, path, the two separated groups would no longer be able to follow each other. On Arxon's side they would continue to constantly hear movement in the walls as that same putrid smelling liquid fell from the ceiling. They could see some of it pooling into puddles alot the sides of the path and when the reached a certain point a huge waft of the stench hit them like a brick wall. Thew tunnel floor in front of them became incredibly dark, almost like a drop off in water looks...

On the side of Sonja and Vyvyan they would feel that the walls were becoming smoother almost like they were made to be like this. They also slowly began to turn into a silver-ish type of rock that neither of them would be quite able to place.

"Hold on," Arxon motioned and tried to get the others to stop as soon as he noticed it. He pulled a black metal flashlight from his gear-belt, gripping it tightly and taking a step closer. He flicked it on and it shone down brightly - hopefully enough to illuminate whatever was there...at least enough to tell if it was a straight drop off, just dark liquid, or something worse.

As arxon looked into it he would see it was only about a foot deep,but it was far from water. It was a pool of blood mixed with assorted chunks and dead flesh and what looks like some sort of animal's excretions. He was walking through what was apparently something along the lines of a animal's feeding ground.

Sonja walked slowly so Vyvyan could keep up. Since Sonja was a type 1 it took some concentration to keep herself from increasing her movement speed. In 12 second intervals she looked ahead, to left, ahead, then to the right to observe the entire area without missing anything as she passed. She acted as if she had been trained to keep constant attention on the entirety of her surrounding...at all times. When she came to the silver-stone she examined it for a very short time the moved along. It was strange but she could spare little time to check it.

"Strange, it seemed almost man-made," she thought to herself. She wasn't comfortable speaking her observations unless they were important.

Sonja and Vyvyan would come to a solid perfect wall in front of them after some time, it would seem as if the light was coming through it, upon closer inspection they would see that there is a hand shaped slot. It was human shaped.

Xerxes licks his lips as he sees the animal mess in front of him, "Something is here... Whatever it is, it must be nasty..." he says calmly, yet somewhat excitedly. Whatever it is, he wants to fight it.

Sonja approached the walk carefully, lightly stepping to check for any kind of traps before putting her full weight down. As she did she noticed the slot.

".....This doesn't seem right," she said quietly. She moved close to the walk, running her hand along it as if she was checking for pressure activated triggers. When she came to the slot she paused then gently place her hand inside it, holding her fingers to match that of the imprinted marking.

As she put her hand in it, a very small prick was made on her finger, taking only a very small amount of her blood. The wall would then crack straight down the center letting out a massive jet of steam. They could now enter if they like, of course the only other option would be to go and dig the cave out.

Arxon grimaced. "Goddamn. Any other way past this?" He shone the flashlight around, looking for any possible alternatives, or maybe a spot that wasn't as deep or nasty.

He then knelt down to pick up a small, loose rock off the cave floor as he waited for a response. "Don't touch the water yet..."

Picking up the rock was a bad choice, nightmares were creatures of habit and when they found an area and made it their home, they dont take kindly to it being changed. 5 sets of white orbs appeared in the shadows along with more sound coming from the walls. He was in a Nightmare Hive.
